General InformationFOR THE TRIP OF YOUR CHOICE, RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE WELL IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY, PARTICULARLY ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. HOWEVER, ON HALF AND ONE-DAY TRIPS, SPACE IS USUALLY AVAILABLE EVEN ON THE SHORTEST OF NOTICE. WHAT TO WEAR/BRING ON YOUR RAFT TRIP Those things you don't mind getting wet: 1) swimsuit, cutoffs or shorts, 2) tennis shoes which lace tight, aqua socks, or wet suit booties - thongs are not good enough, 3) sun visor or baseball hat, 4) long sleeved lightweight shirt and pants if prone to sunburn, 5) waterproof sun block, 6) clothing for a comfortable ride to and from your river adventure. On extended trips of two or more days a specific pack list will be provided to all participants. WAYS TO PLAY All rafts have a highly skilled guide at the helm. PADDLE RAFTING: Your full direct participation. The spirited team effort approach; exciting, challenging, self-satisfying. STERN-DRIVE PADDLE RAFT: Paddle rafting plus the extra power and control of oars provided by your guide. The ultimate approach to whitewater excitement, utilizing the greatest degree of power and control. Recommended for first time rafters and Class V descents. EXCURSION RAFTS: Sit back, relax, and leave the driving to us. INFLATABLE KAYAKS: The one-on-one approach. You do it all in our quick-to-master, easy-to-balance water crafts. Fun! Fun! Fun!!! RATING SCALE OF RAPIDS All references to rapids are based on the International Rating Scale of I to VI. I is very easy; II is medium; III is difficult; IV is very difficult and technical; V requires a high level of expertise, competence, and physical capability; and VI is unrunnable. TRIP (SIZE) REQUIREMENTS A minimum and maximum number of participants must be met for economic and regulatory reasons. If you are a party of less than the minimum required, don't let this stop you from your trip of choice. Most trips are on an open-entry basis, with the number of participants accumulating up to the maximums allowed. In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, you have options: 1) 100% refund, 2) reschedule to another date or trip of choice. Half-day and one-day trips can usually be rescheduled to within 24 hours of your desired activity. For extended trips, if the minimum is not met at least 10 days prior to trip departure, the trip will be cancelled, you will be notified and given options 1 or 2, stated above. RESPONSIBILITY/LIABILITY All river voyages have inherent risks. We recognize that accident or illness may occur. Noah's River Adventures assumes no responsibility for injury or illness to trip members, loss of their personal belongings, or for time or expense incurred. WE REQUIRE ALL TRIP MEMBERS TO SIGN A LIABILITY RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK FORM BEFORE TRIP DEPARTURE. INSURANCE Noah's River Adventures meets and complies with all state and federal insurance requirements. We recommend health and accident insurance as well as vacation insurance for all participants. AUTHORITY All Noah's River Adventures trips are conducted with the permission, approval, required permits and licenses, and within the established guidelines of: the Oregon Marine Board; United States Department of Interior; Bureau of Land management - Medford and Vale District Offices, and the Klamath Falls Resource Area; the U.S. Forest Service - Rogue, Klamath, Six Rivers, Shasta-Trinity, and Umpqua National Forests. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Trip information sheets, itineraries, packing lists, specific or special maps, and other river adventures not mentioned within (Scott, Smith, Sacramento, Owyhee) are available for the asking. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS A 50% deposit is required on all trips. The balance is due at least 48 hours prior to trip commencement. VISA, MC, and personal checks welcome.
