Oregon Whitewater Rafting & Fishing GuidesAll of our guides and employees are handpicked and personally trained by Noah and his operations and river managers. All new guides hired are selected for their prior whitewater rafting, kayaking and outdoor adventures; prior river experience and knowledge, training and certifications; educational background and achievements; personalities; and communication abilities. Our vehicle drivers and trip support personnel are selected based on some of the above plus their driving competencies, records and commercial driving experience. Our office, sales and food service staff are chosen based on some of the above items plus their knowledge, training and experience pertinent to the position. We hire individuals who, in prior jobs, have demonstrated these qualities: punctuality, dependability, honesty, trustworthiness, initiative, follow-through and completion of assigned tasks, attention to detail, and good personal hygiene. We look for high achievers. We want them to fit our glove and be happy. Noah’s has on ongoing training and self-improvement programs internally and externally, for the entire crew. We have frequent company meetings, question and answer sessions, seminars, problem-solving and brainstorming meetings, and safety committee meetings. We even have “feedback forums” where the employees can ventilate while Noah and department heads listen. We are always working towards keeping the crew a cohesive, well-informed and happy team.
