Intro to Rogue River Whitewater Rafting

OUR INTRODUCTION TO WHITEWATER RAFTING AND INFLATABLE KAYAKING ON THE ROGUE RIVER

NOAH'S FAMOUS HALF-DAY TRIPS ON THE ROGUE provide rafting enjoyment and excitement to many who otherwise could not participate due to time, money, or other commitments.

A special trip in many ways:
1) Close at hand, located just a short distance north of Medford on the famous Rogue River, starting below Gold Ray Dam and concluding at Gold Hill, Oregon.
2) A scenic setting starting with mellow riffles and rapids, uniquely progressing from class I introductory rapids to the exciting but safe class IV whitewater. (Walk-around option is available on the two class IV rapids.)
3) Beautiful scenery, sparsely populated, and a variety of birds and waterfowl add to the many memorable pleasures.
4) Great for the beginning rafter to the seasoned river veteran. An excellent training ground for active participation paddle rafting. Stern drive paddle rafting, also commonly used, combines paddle rafting with the extra power and control of oars the guide operates. Excursion rafting is another option, where you "leave the driving to us," and is available upon request. Sorry, no inflatable kayaks on the half-day trip. All rafts have a highly skilled, personable guide at the helm.

This six-mile stretch of river has more to offer in whitewater excitement and adventure than any other section of the entire Rogue River, and nobody knows it better or provides more fun and safety than Noah's guides and crew.

Trips depart Ashland three times a day, seven days a week, when four or more river enthusiasts are ready to go, leaving the Ashland area by 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., returning by approximately 12:30, 3:15 and 5:45 p.m. Transportation is provided for your convenience, to and from the river and your lodging, at no additional charge. Private groups and different time schedules can be easily arranged with advance notice. Special family and group rates are also available.

ALL DAY ON THE ROGUE is available when eight or more river enthusiasts are ready to go. This format incorporates the half-day itinerary described above followed by a delicious, freshly prepared all-you-can-eat, build-your-own, deli-style lunch at the Gold Hill Sports Park. For the afternoon river activity we continue on down river to Valley of the Rogue State Park. This mellower stretch of water allows us to change from rafts to the fun-loving INFLATABLE KAYAKS, where you challenge the river and rapids one-on-one. Never fear, for our guides are always near to train and assist you in these easy-to-balance, quick-to-master, delightful water crafts. Kayaks are optional. If you prefer, you can continue your afternoon journey in the comfort of one of our rafts.
