Rogue River Senic Float Trip Information

TRIP LENGTH AND LOCATION: 6-9 river miles on the Rogue River beginning at Takelma Park or Dodge Bridge, approximately 14-16 miles northeast of Medford, Oregon, 26 miles north of Ashland, 30 miles southeast of Grants Pass.

CLASSIFICATION/DIFFICULTY: All trip classifications of difficulty are based on the International Rating Scale of Class I‑VI: I is very mellow and easy, while Class VI is considered by most, unrunable. This trip is rated at a Class I-II level of whitewater activity with several casual, relaxing sections for scenic and wildlife enjoyment.

CRAFT(S) USED: For your complete comfort we use our 14' or 18' self-bailing excursion rafts with padded seats and back rests. We refer to these as the "Greyhound" approach - our guests sit back and leave the driving to us. Additionally, and upon request, for those that would like a little more active participation and whitewater enjoyment, we also bring along our one and/or two-man self-bailing inflatable kayaks. These water crafts are super-fun and it's quick and easy to master their proper balancing and control. Never fear, for you will always be under the watchful eye and helping hand of one of our guides - when and wherever needed.

RESTRICTIONS: No previous rafting or kayaking experience required. The minimum age is 2 and there are virtually no health or physical restrictions. Come one, come all on this beautiful, relaxing trip down the Rogue River enjoying some of Mother Nature's finest.

INSURANCE: NOAH'S RIVER ADVENTURES meets and complies with all state and federal insurance requirements. Vacation and travel insurance is available through most insurance companies and/or their agents. In many cases, you are already partially or fully covered through your present heath and accident policy. Please check this out and act accordingly. The risk level of any type of accident, either on or off the water, is very low.

RIVER/WEATHER CONDITIONS: Safety is our first and most important guideline. If, in the opinion of the head guide, at any time, the water conditions are too dangerous due to excessively high or impassively low water, the trip may be canceled or the running of certain rapids altered or portaged.

Our trips run rain or shine. If extreme weather conditions exist that could or would affect the safety of this trip, we would then cancel the trip and refund 100% of any and all prepaid fees. Temperatures are generally above 80 degrees from May through September. Spring and summer showers usually pass through quickly. Morning clouds usually dissipate (burn off) by mid‑day. We plan and pack each trip accordingly for your greatest comfort, including FREE wet suits, fleece under layers, splash jackets and full cover semi-dry suits and if needed.

CANCELLATIONS, NO SHOW: We refund 100% of any and all fees paid when you notify NOAH'S by phone, in person, or in writing at least 48 hours prior to trip departure. There is NO REFUND IF YOU CANCEL OR NO SHOW WITHIN THE 48 HOURS PRIOR TO your scheduled trip.
