Noah’s Wine and Culinary Tours

Grape Expectations

With over 36 years experience as the premier Oregon whitewater rafting and fishing company  we have now decided to expand into the area of wine and culinary tours. All tours begin in the beautiful Ashland Plaza, and then head northwest to the historic town of Jacksonville. From Jacksonville we will move on to the Applegate Valley wine region, a hidden treasure for wine lovers, and one of the fastest growing in popularity. The Applegate valley was ranked as one of the best-hidden appellations in America.  "For winemakers, and visitors, too, there’s a sense of being in on something from the ground up—quite literally, as boot-clad winemakers can be seen tracking mud into their tasting rooms as they go from checking vines to pouring wine. Here, you don’t see bus tours and grand châteaux, just down-home folks enjoying a glass of Chardonnay on a sunny afternoon." As Paneitz puts it, “We’re like Sonoma in the ‘70s.” (Sunset Magazine) With over 90 restaurants and bars, Ashland is also a culinary Mecca boasting some of the most inventive and accomplished chefs in the country. This tour will visit some of the premier makers of Artisan foods not only in America, but in the world. With a combination of great foods, great wines, and great guides it is the perfect accompaniment to a day on the river, or just a relaxing day out of the hustle of downtown Ashland along the beautiful Applegate River.

Grapes of Raft

Relax and leave the rowing to us!  Join us for a beautiful, and romantic afternoon wine float as we pick you up from downtown Ashland and take you north to the famous Rogue River. Experience all the beauty of the Rogue River through the prism of a wine glass in an atmosphere that is sophisticated, relaxing, and completely controlled. Once we reach the river you will be treated to the comfort and convenience that you have come to expect from us over the last 35 years, along with a flight of the finest hand picked wines from the Rogue and Applegate valleys. Each wine is specifically paired with a seasonal and local delicacy from one of our local Artisan food producers. Our wine floats are the perfect adventure for today’s cultured travelers. This particular section of the Rogue River offers relaxing solitude and is both mild and scenic. This tour is a perfect way to experience a cool relaxing day out of the summer heat.  Come sit on our custom bench style seats, and float along in the shade of the trees while tasting the very best wine and food that Southern Oregon has to offer. Our wine float is a completely splash free ride, unless you request otherwise, and you won’t even need to change clothes before heading to an evening play.
